Maternal/perinatal mortality rates in Bangladesh are among the highest in the world due to low coverage of antenatal care (ANC). Most pregnant women don’t have access to ultrasound scanning (US). Antenatal risk stratification (ARS) in Bangladesh is challenging due to limited health facilities.  That’s why we developed HMHB service – dedicated to keep expectant moms healthy which results in healthier children. Through HMHB, all pregnant women will get access to doorstep healthcare services like regular health monitoring, timely ANC, PNC services and referrals for safe delivery as well as child growth tracking by trained paramedics.

How do we make it happen?

Philips has developed the MOM (Mobile Obstetrics Monitoring) software and a mobile ultrasound solution (Lumify), which facilitate early detection of high-risk pregnancy, low fetus weight, and faster response. It will be integrated with the existing GP model software developed by AIMS Lab and CMED health. Lumify will be connected to a digital platform, so that the Obstetric and Gynae specialist can virtually support GPs and midwives in remote areas by reviewing uploaded USG images if required.
