What is CMED

CMED is a smart health monitoring system for regular health monitoring. CMED uses smart medical sensors connected to a smartphone for measurement of vital signs and store data to its secured cloud server. Users will get instant feedback about their health status. CMED also generate health records that will help doctors to minimize diagnostic time and to give better treatment.


One of the most burning issues in today’s world is health problems and unavailability of healthcare centers and doctors or healthcare professionals. This issue is more severe in developing countries where population growth is higher and health professionals are hard to find. With the growing population and diversity of health problems; a smart, automated and secured cloud based regular health monitoring system is a possible appropriate solution for developing countries like Bangladesh. CMED is addressing to resolve these problems.

Impact of CMED

CMED is a cloud based smart health monitoring system, consists of a portable smart monitoring device and a Smartphone Application. Unlike the existing devices, CMED devices keep records of the user’s data automatically. These devices also give suggestions to the users to see the Doctor immediately when their health condition is at risk. At this current stage, CMED devices can monitor Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Pulse, Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Body Temperature, Weight, Height and Body Mass Index (BMI). With inclusion of this monitoring system CMED is designed to reduce the risk of life threatening diseases like stroke, heart attack etc. With the regular health monitoring system, users would be able to reduce diagnostic time, follow up cost, cost of hospitalization and hospital days significantly. Community Health Workers can also play a vital role in the rural areas by using CMED.

Why we have to monitor Diabetes?

High glucose level in the body called hyperglycemia. Ongoing hyperglycemia may cause vaginal and skin infections; slow-healing cuts and sores; worse vision; nerve damage causing painful cold or insensitive feet; loss of hair on the lower extremities, or erectile dysfunction; stomach and intestinal problems such as chronic constipation or diarrhea, damage to your eyes, blood vessels, or kidneys.
